I used the pole with one of the nets I bought at the same time, the pole extends well and I can reach from one side of the pond over to the other side with no problem at all. The net is great and empties well, I used it to collect stray leaves when we had an intruder (heron or dog?) go into the pond and dislodge the potted water plants, when I got them back onto the pond shelf there was a lot of leaves and stuff to be collected. The net and pole were great and I would recommend them.

Pole extends too far wrt its diameter and so bends too much when extended. The net is too large wrt the strength of the pole when extended gathering too heavy deposits which further bend the pole and stretch the net. OK for verylight work only.
