Zeolite from NT Labs is a natural filtration media designed to help reduce ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels in pond water. Once added to your pond or filter system, it works by absorbing ammonia from the water. Over time, the material will become saturated and will need to be regenerated. This can be done by removing the zeolite and soaking it in a strong saltwater solution to release the trapped ammonia. Rinse thoroughly before returning it to the pond.

For optimum performance, use year-round and regenerate at regular intervals. Additional recharging or topping up may be required if water quality begins to deteriorate.

Directions for use:

• Place the zeolite into the supplied filter bag and rinse with clean water.
• Position the bag inside your filter where there is good water flow.
• Regenerate in spring and approximately every six weeks thereafter, unless water quality indicates it should be done sooner.
• When regenerating, replace around 50% of the existing zeolite with fresh media.
• To regenerate, prepare a salt solution using 4 tablespoons of salt per gallon of water and soak the zeolite for 24 hours. Rinse well before reuse.
