This has worked really well in our wildlife pond. I actually used some additional liner in the form of carpet as we're in the Chilterns and flint frequently surfaces and I simply didn't trust the thin underlay sent with the liner to suffice. I did lay the supplied underlay over the carpet and the pond liner on top. The liner was plenty big enough. It was a challenge to unfold as I was mindful of not picking up stones on my shoes or walking on the liner before it was in place... but I made it and it's filled up with water and plants and awaiting the arrival of whatever wildlife wants to make it's home with us. The back edge will be finished off as soon as our "lady of the lake" is planted up and completed.
