This popular pond liner size is perfect for creating a small garden pond. The liner itself is manufactured out of LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) which is tearproof, rotproof and UV-stabilised. It will provide many years of service once installed and is guaranteed by the manufacturer for a minimum of 40 years.

It is a thick liner and as you'd expect fairly stiff. OK for a half-barrel with some fiddling and side pleating to get it to fit. Probably OK for square and rectangular 'box' shape ponds with one fold per corner. If I were lining a small shallow smooth contoured pond for invertebrates and insects I'd use this stuff. For anything with a more complex, shelved and more serious fish-friendly design, [in terms of depth], I would go for a rubber-based membrane.
