What Size of Pump for my pond?
Any additional air you can introduce to your pond will
be beneficial, however if you are serious about keeping
fish in your pond then we recommend a ratio of half the pond size (see table for examples). We always quote the
manufacturer’s performance figures against their products which will vary from these figures.
NOTE:
Remember the higher the water temperature the less dissolved oxygen the water can hold.
Adding oxygen to a fishpond is very important to fish health. This is particularly true in summer months
and if the pond is heavily stocked. Air pumps provide all the oxygen your pond needs - even at night
when it is needed most.
