I didn't realise that this model doesn't have a back up battery. It works really well when the sun is shining, however, it is a poor little thing when the sun goes behind a cloud. If I had researched it more thoroughly then I would have gone for a model with a back up battery. This is ok though and it does work well when the sun is shining.
