The bio side of the Nexus works very well. We had 30 koi in a 4000 gallon pond. It took two weeks from the first nitrite reading above zero to return to zero. The mechanical side of the filter is another story. Our Oase Screenmatic filtered out finer dirt than the Nexus. You must have a pre-filter with the 310.
