Bermuda Jupiter Solar Pond Pump

Don''t be put off by people telling you that solar pond pumps are rubbish. I bought a Bermuda Jupiter to work in a small two sqare metre garden pond and it works a treat. It will give a good height fountain when the sun is on the panel(at any temperature - the solar panel turns light into energy, not heat). When the panel is in the shade or it is overcast, the panel charges the battery in the control unit within a few hours. Yesterday evening, after the sun went down the fountain and LED lights were working for about 5 hours from the charge in the battery. The best thing of all is not having to lay cables in your garden and being able to relax by your pond knowing you are not consuming power from your mains. Great way for kids to learn about renewable energy too.
